I tried the new SKYWAVE 650 which was put on sale at June 1st in Japan.
 Yamaha put TMAX on sale, Honda put Silver Wing and at last Suzuki put the new mega scooter 'SKYWAVE650' on sale at June 1st 2002.
But we have never seen them on the street, a first lot of these products may be demonstration or trail ride of any shops.
Any customer will be able to get it after the middle of June.
At June 8th, I went to the trial ride event of the new SKYWAVE 650 in Ariake event space, Tokyo. We were able to ride TMAX and Silver Wing for reference, too. I was able to check the performance of them.
I took the view point of this report to the side of user, I will report matters that I could not understand from these magazines. But you have to judge yourselves.
I arrived at the event place a little later.
 Many motorcycles and cars have been already in park area of this event. I wrote a entry sheet and I got a registered number 238. I was surprised at many people already registered.

 We were waiting to start with magazine publisher, a few friends and these new machines.
These members of registered were from 20 to 50 years old, and a few female.

I had my turn
- These modes are three, a usually automatic, a power automatic and manual shift (5 speed).
- Automatic modes are changed between usually and power by pushing a gray power button. Mode is indicated in a meter panel.
- Changing between automatic mode and manual mode is by a yellow select button. You can change any mode if you are running and/or stopping the bike.
- Power mode of automatic set the engine revolution 1000rpm higher than usually mode.
- At manual shift mode, you can raise the engine revolution to 8500rpm about red zone.
- At manual shift mode, you can not select 5th speed under 20km/h and you can not shift down hard over 170km/h. because the bike keep from tire locking.
- At manual shift mode, if you stop at 5th speed, the bike is shifted down automatically.
- The life time of V-belt is 20000-30000km, the life time of SECVT is over 100000kms.
- Many parts of engine are common with GSX1300R. The quality is high level. Because engine capacity is a half of 1300cc.
